We Visited Blue Mountain's AGORA Light Show

Every Fall, The Blue Mountain Village features an interactive light show extravaganza, spanning across the trails at the top of the mountain. AGORA is inspired by storytellers and cycles of life in nature. As participants walk this circular path, they will encounter a series of interactive lighting installations based on the five elements of air, space, earth, water and fire.

The AGORA journey begins every night at 8pm at the base of the mountain. With a Play All Evening pass, you can get to AGORA from an exclusive after-dark ride on the Open-Air Gondola. Once you reach the top of the mountain, AGORA is an approximate 10 minute walk from the Summitview Pavilion.

AGORA is not your average light show - it's also an incredible and immersive audio experience infused with Anishinaabemowin history. As you walk the paths you'll hear voices of the forest speaking to you!

Several exhibits within AGORA are interactive, allowing you to speak to the forest with stomps of your feet. Our personal favourite exhibit was the Armonía, which was inspired by mushrooms and foxes - we were even lucky enough to encounter a real fox along the path!

The entire AGORA experience includes stopping points that provide you with the history of the Anishinaabemowin, allowing you to understand the meaning of each of the 5 elements. The entire experience is approximately 1 hour and is open to groups of all ages!

This seaonal attraction is only open until October 27th! Check out our experience on Instagram to see AGORA in action:
